“Japan Out There: Kansai Edition” stands out by focusing on hidden gems, avoiding crowded spots. Unlike traditional guides, it offers practical tips for unique experiences beyond the usual suggestions, making it ideal for adventurous travelers seeking off-the-beaten-path adventures in the Kansai region. Andrew has great advice within his YouTube channel and he again delivers information that is practical, helpful and tested.
This book is full of tips, fun facts and useful information outside of the box. Having lived in Japan myself, I still found some new information that I didn’t know about. If you want a unique adventure outside of the crowded tourist traps, look no further.
My favorite Japan travel destinations are in the Kansai region and Andrew’s knowledge of the vast regions opened me up to travel more destinations that he has recommended that I never knew existed. I’m sure to visit his list of places to see on my next trip to Japan.
The book is quite colourful, with up to date information and many excellent pictures of the author’s recommendations…with individual Google Map Pins, accessibility details and links to their websites. The reasons for these choices are within the book, well worth a read.
I highly recommend this eBook to Japan tourists who have already done the Golden Route and all the usual tourists attractions and are looking for memorable ‘Off the Beaten Path’ experiences. I look forward to Andrew’s coverage of the other regions.
